What is Neuro Linguistic Programming?
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a set of communication and personal development techniques that focus on the relationship between language, behaviour, and subjective experience. It was developed in the 1970s by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, who studied successful therapists such as Fritz Perls and Virginia Satir to identify patterns in their language and behaviour.
NLP aims to help individuals change unwanted behaviours, overcome limiting beliefs, and improve communication and interpersonal skills. NLP suggests that our thoughts and feelings influence our behaviour, and by understanding and modifying these patterns, individuals can achieve personal and professional success.
Many individuals and organizations continue to use NLP techniques and frameworks for personal and professional development. As with any psychological approach, individual experiences with NLP may vary, and it’s important to approach it with an open mind and a critical perspective.
You don’t need to overhaul your life overnight. You need to understand what is keeping you stuck—and begin changing the right things in the right order.
